Description

Paroxetine is a drug used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, and
post-traumatic disorders. It works by restoring the balance of a natural substance in the brain,
serotonin. It inhibits serotonin uptake in the brain (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor-SSRI). It
improves appetite, mood, sleep, and energy levels. It may also reduce the frequency of unpleasant
thoughts and improve the overall quality of life.

Directions For Use

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water.
Take this medicine with or without food.
Swallow it as a whole, do not crush or chew the medicine.
Take it at the same time every day to help you remember.
Or use it exactly as instructed by your doctor.

Safety Information/Precautions

Patients with the following conditions should use this medicine cautiously:

This medicine is not recommended for patients with the following:
 Low sodium levels
 Excessive antidiuretic hormone levels

 Manic behavior or depression
 Serotonin syndrome
