Gouric is a xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor used for the long-term management of hyperuricemia in adult patients with gout. It is specifically indicated for those who have not responded adequately to the highest tolerated dose of allopurinol, are intolerant to allopurinol, or for whom allopurinol treatment is not recommended.
